Imani Handy is a successful actress, musician and director. Imani studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music majoring in Performance and Global Studies. At Berklee she studied contemporary music and theatre under Janice Pendarvis, Rene Fister and Kudisan Kai.
She was a featured performer on American Idol making it to the Top 60 Hollywood performers. Imani has competed in several vocal competitions winning first place or placing. She was also a TMEA All-State Choir Member in High School.
She is well versed in Early Classical Music and Opera Studies, receiving classical training at the age of 6 in voice and violin. Imani began performing in professional operas and musicals at 8 years old and continues to wow audiences with her voice.
Recently, she was casted as Justice in Rock of Ages at the Palace Theatre receiving extremely positive reviews from audiences and BroadwayWorld.
Imani is also music directing Drowsy Chaperone for Georgetown Palace Theatre Pre-Professional Program.
